Cheyenne Mountain 2016
The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo will forever be one of our favorite zoos. Over my lifetime I’ve been there a few times but our most recent trip was my favorite yet. We did get a huge downpour that put a little bit of a damper giraffe feeding with the kids but once they moved inside, we were able to enjoy the experience. A loved feeding the giraffes but she was very unsure about their big long purple tongue’s trying to come and grab the lettuce from her. She would quickly pulled her hand back usually just before they would grab the lettuce.
The rest of the day cleared up very nicely and we enjoyed walking through the entire experience. The wallaby exhibit was collectively our favorite and it’s one that was news since the last time we had been there. It was an awesome experience to experience the wallabies jumping around as you walk through the experience. We had a couple of them come right up to us and they all really enjoyed being around A.
I am so glad that we got to experience the Colorado Springs zoo with the kiddos!
