The Power of Knowing Your Food Source

If I can encourage you to do one thing this week – it would be to search out local farms and ranches in your area. Meat, raw milk, produce, etc.

Even if the farms in your area are a little out of the way, I promise you it’s worth it. Many areas also have farmers markets.

It’s worth having a rancher that knows everything about what’s going on his herd, stands in his convictions of growing food the way God intended; and knowing that’s a hill he would die on.

It’s worth knowing your food is truly raised how it supposed to be and not tainted with some corporate regulation loophole so they can make claims they shouldn’t be able to.

It’s worth knowing your food isn’t slapped with some greenwashed label as a marketing ploy that fools the consumer.

It’s worth knowing that when corporate farm supply chains fall victim to the governmental overreach that causes massive supply chain issues, you know where YOUR food is coming from.

If you’ve deep dived the horrendous corporate farming conditions and how much abuse happens there, you know it’s worth it to know the meat and eggs you’re eating are raised humanely with a quality life.

When you support your local farmer, you pay a little more but you always both win. You know when the next shortage comes plowing through the stores – you’ve got food covered. You know the quality you’re truly getting. The farmer and rancher know they can count on you to support their farm – even when there aren’t shortages – allowing them to grow and expand – giving them the security to know their farm won’t be fight to stay afloat.

Seek out your local farms and start supporting them how you can – maybe it’s just eggs right now, maybe it’s everything, but start NOW.
