Three Healthier Day To Day Swaps
I love finding new products that are healthier and filled with less that can harm our bodies. For me it’s pretty amazing all of the things that we consume or use on our bodies that we think might be decent for us that aren’t. When you start doing a little research about what some of the products are inside of our daily items and their long term effects, it’s pretty eye opening. I’ve made it a goal to swap several products each month and replace them with better solutions. Today I’m sharing Three Healthier Day To Day Swaps.

MATI Energy – Natural Energy
I recently discovered MATI Energy drinks and was quite intrigued. I typically only drink on cup of coffee a day because it’s all my stomach can handle then turn to Ice Tea. Ryan consumes more caffeinated drinks that I do though. For him, it’s either coffee or a traditional energy drink from the store. When I learned of MATI Energy I wanted to know what made them different, how effective their drinks were and what Ryan would think of them.
MATI sent me energy drinks to try out and I couldn’t wait for us give them a try. MATI Energy’s founder was just named as one of the Forbes 30 under 30 which is pretty impressive. Their drinks have no preservatives, artificial ingredients, or sugars. It’s flavored with real fruit juice and the caffeine in it comes from the guayusa plant which is full of antioxidants, in addition to energy without the crash.
The drink tastes very much like tea so it’s important you go into that knowing that and expecting it. I like that aspect because I am a tea drinker so it was something I’m used to. Ryan was a bit taken off guard with that because the energy drinks he consumes have the flavor of a the more tart balance of taurine.
For me, the MATI gives me the extra boost that I need with a flavor I’m familiar with and the 30% fruit juice adds a level of likability for me. Since I’m not a huge consumer of coffee or high caffeine beverages, this does me well. When I asked Ryan what he thought, he said that he likes it but that it takes more than one to give him the kick that he needs to feel similar effects to coffee or the like. He also said that he doesn’t crash like traditional energy drinks or coffee and drinking MATI is something he feels good about – especially when he drinks more than one.
I love the branding of MATI and that they are available at a lot of local food stores. My favorite thing about that is that if they aren’t available near you they will ship to you for free. They want to make their product accessible to everyone even if it’s not at their local store. I really love that!

Thieves Hand Purifier.
It’s inevitable – hand sanitizer is a must have for a mom, especially out and about. Grabbing a cheap portable hand sanitizer on the go is easy to do. With traditional hand sanitizers are drying and can sting little cuts. We’ve all been there not realizing that we have a cut or forgetting we have one and dealing with the sting of alcohol. Not to mention, especially in winter – extra dryness isn’t an ideal circumstance. With the alcohol being a factor plus knowing of several other fillers in hand sanitizers that I don’t care for I wanted something different.
Last year I tried another hand sanitizer than was more natural and supposed to be moisturizing. It smelled good, I felt like it did it’s job pretty well but it left our hands feeling sticky. It wasn’t a favorite around here. SO much so, each of the bottles I got are still mostly full because we tend to avoid it.
With the Thieves Hand Purifier – we use it all the time. It has Thieves it in which has incredible purifying properties and is excellent for the immune system. Plus, it does not sting (this is HUGE with little ones!), it smells good, and my hands feel soft and not sticky! We have Thieves hand sanitizer with us all the time. Thieves for the win again!

Grapefruit Young Living Lip Balm
A couple months ago I needed an extra item to toss into my Young Living order to hit the amount I wanted for the next perk. I was dollars away and I snatched up a Grapefruit Lip Balm. I LOVE lip balms but I’m very sensitive when it comes to what I put on my lips. Many chap-sticks and lip balms leave my lips feeling irritated after a while. Or I feel like I need to use the balm more than before I started using it which defeats the purpose.
I love Young Living – as you know – but I wasn’t sure I would love the lip balm. Even EOS lipbalms give me trouble but it was worth a try. This lip balm has no extra fillers in it, is enriched with essential oils. My lips are loving the lip balm. I feel good using it on myself and my family and it’s so moisturizing. I can feel the moisture on my lips a couple hours later still. There are no artificial or heavy waxes and absolutely no artificial anything. Hands down my favorite Lip Balm right now!
