Fritzler Farms 2016

Our second year in a row of going to the Fritzler Farms in LaSalle, CO which is filled with excellent family activities and a great pumpkin patch! This time of year is my favorite. I love the weather, the leaves and the traditions. We have been taking the kids to the pumpkin patch since A was little.  We couldn’t wait to continue the tradition and head back to the Fritzler Farms that we went to last year

With B being as active as he is and A being older and loving activities like this we headed out last weekend.  This year A needed a pass to get into the fun activities so we got her one and one adult pass to pass between Ryan and I to check things out with the kids. Since B is under 3 he got to go on anything he was big enough for free.

We watched the pig races twice which A thought was a lot of fun and giggled as they would run around the track. The pigs were adorable. Once the races were over the kiddos fed the goats and they thought that was a blast.  B got a real kick out of them getting the food out of his hands and so did A. I love how much they love animals!

We had fun on the Slide Mountain, climbing the hay bales and the spider web.  Last year A was too small for Slide Mountain but this year she got to go and she had so much fun. I went with her once and Ryan went with her the second time. She is such a little thrill seeker and was so excited to be big enough to go this year!! We got videos both times and I’m so glad we did!

The big winner of the activities at the Fritzler Farms was the Barrel Train again. Last year only Ryan and A went and I videoed.  This year we all went. A and Ryan went the first time because there weren’t enough barrel for us to go too so I got some videos from the sidelines like last time. We have videos of A laughing the first round as they went over the hills that were adorable and taken by Ryan during the ride.  The next time though all four of us got to go together and it was a blast. We got videos of B laughing going over the hills and it’s just precious. I’m pretty sure they would have gone again and again and again had we let them.

Our last stop was the Pumpkin Patch portion of Fritzler Farms.  We always make it the last stop so we can finish up and load them in the car and head home. The kids loved riding in the wagon and searching the fields for pumpkins when we would stop the wagon.  B was pretty mesmerized by all the pumpkins and A was on the hunt for what she thought was the perfect pumpkin!

There is a good selection of pumpkins in their fields and it’s reasonably priced. We got 2 large/regular sized pumpkins and two smaller ones and we rang out at $14 which I feel like is a good price. I love that we get to pick our own pumpkins from the field too! There are a lot of patches here in Colorado that pick them and you pick from a pile. photo-oct-09-3-31-41-pmphoto-oct-09-3-22-06-pmGoodness, watching these little ones grow and change within our traditions each year is one of my favorite things! Every year is just so different and I hope that so many of these memories make up some of their childhood favorites.
