Happy Sunday Everyone!
Today I’m co-hosting the “My Husband Rocks” Link up with Rachael from The Growing Tree. Although I have enjoyed co-hosting every 6 weeks or so I decided that this week will be my last time co-hosting the link-up. It’s been a great time but with changes I’ve been making to make this blog low maintenance and zero pressure I’ve decided to resign from the obligation. Please go say hello to Rachael.
I decided that today I would ask Ryan to put together,
5 Facts About Him that you may or may not know. 🙂
1. He is a Self-Taught Mechanic. He has no formal training other than turning wrenches with his Dad from a young age, and he’s continued to do it over the years. He does ALL of the maintenance on our cars and on close family member’s cars, which saves us a ton of money. He also works on small engines and other things. He’s a handy one to have around.
2. I’m his best friend!!! He says he has had a lot of friends over the years, but none as awesome close as me. Lucky for him I feel the same, hence why we are married. I know you are supposed to marry your best friend but we both genuinely mean we are each others’ best friend. We talk about everything, laugh together, cry together and have been the biggest ups and downs together than we have with anyone else. A is his second best friend. 😉
3. He used to be a chef. He went through a couple years of professional training, got a chance of a lifetime internship in the Bahamas and uses it now as an awesome hobby. Lucky me! 😉 We both cook in the house but when I’m convinced we have nothing in the house to eat or I have zero inspiration, he whips up something crazy delicious. Oh and 99.3% of the time he doesn’t use a recipe, he wings in which is fabulous until we love it and can’t remember half of the stuff he added to the dish.
4. He’s an animal lover. I mean all kinds – birds, fish, cats, dogs – lions and bears, oh my.. This could be why we have 2 cats and 2 dogs – oh and two fish – and have had many others over the years. We would have more but we have run out of room. We have chatted about having about adopting all the animals that need homes if we could afford it.
5.He’s Makes Me Proud. He told me to write number five. So this is my input. If you read this blog you know he makes me proud already but I don’t think I can put it into words. There are so many reasons why and some of which I haven’t ever talked about on the blog, and I may never but you guys, I’m a lucky gal. He works his butt off to provide for our family during the week – sometimes feeling overworked and under appreciated at his job, sometimes he does side work on the weekends so we can have a little extra. And there is an endless list of others things I am proud of him for – so many accomplishments, overcoming odds. Ryan might drive me a little looney sometimes (I know that’s mutual) but dang-it I’m so proud to be his wife. I’m proud of the husband he is. And I’m proud of the Daddy he is to A.
