Bless More, Avoid Holiday Stress

Serving others is my cup of tea. I love hosting others, making things from scratch, and making sure others know how much I enjoy them being in our home. This usually ends up with me adding a bit too much to my plate by going well above what I should. Can you relate to this?

We are standing right on the edge of the busiest time of year for our family. Once Halloween hits it becomes a quick catapult into a constant state of “going”. We have A’s birthday, Thanksgiving, our anniversary, and Christmas. Add in our move that I announced Monday and this year will be far more chaotic than normal. 

I’ve learned that I can bless others without the stress though. I don’t have to create ten homemade dishes to be a great host.  I don’t have to make everything, I just have to make it all happen. 

I’m being more intentional this year about being present in this last month with our family while we are still in Colorado meaning I want to let go of the stress.  I want to savor each moment we have without the extra chaos. 

Let’s make things happen this holiday season without making everything ourselves. How about we bless others with our presence instead of stressing it’s all perfect.
