Butter Nut Chewies

One of the recipes I was introduced to when joining Ryan’s family was one of his favorites, Butter Nut Chewies. His mom made them for any occasion really but it was one of the things she would make for his birthday because he liked them so much. We make them at least a half dozen times a year, with or without nuts depending on if I planned it or not and if we have any nuts on hand. So, I wanted to share this yummy buttery cookie recipe with you courtesy of my mom-in-law. She makes them a little bit different these days with coconut oil and a couple of other adjustments to the types of sugars, etc. but we still make it the same way as she always has, BUT I did want to note that she makes those changes, in-case you are curious on if you could swap our certain types of oils or sugars – the answer is yes, yes you can!
