Introducing Little Readers

We do so much reading around here with our kids. I’ve mentioned that a few times before and we are constantly reading new books and old books. We started reading to A when she was still in my tummy and continued ever since. Her first summer, at just seven months old we had her signed up for the summer reading program and she’s been in it every year since. Last year she was a top reader in the summer reading program which was super fun. We just signed up for this year for both A and B this year. I’m thrilled to have both our little ones involved in reading. B isn’t quite as into reading right now as he’s a busy little one so we usually get through one little board book before he’s ready to move on and he plays in the same room as we read to A. A will literally sit for over an hour reading with us and still want to read more. Some of our books we read so much that A can “read” them to you which by the way is the sweetest thing ever.

In light of our life and love of books I’m so excited to share with you today that we are starting a new section of our site called “Little Readers”. We’ll be sharing books, magazines and more that we are currently loving and giving you our thoughts on them. Some of them will be books we read from the library, some will be books we’ve been sent to share our thoughts with you and some will be that we own or subscribe to ourselves! 

This new section of our site feels like such a perfect fit for our family and for our readership & community of parents of little ones around here!  Our first post will be coming soon and I’m thrilled to start sharing these books and finds with all of you! We’ll be sharing single books, book lists and more. I know you’ll love this new section of our site as much as we do. It’ll fit so great with our “Little Artists” section that we have that is filled with our creative projects and art work!
