Meal Time with The First Years & Mickey Mouse
Meal time in our house is an important time of day for our family. We are all usually involved in preparing our meals, we sit down together at our table, and eat together. When Ryan is home but running a little late for dinner, we have a little snack early and then we wait until he is home. Meal time for our home means it’s a family event. It’s a time where we can all sit there, eat together and talk about our days.
When it comes to preparing our meals, I usually have one or two of our little ones alongside me preparing food. It’s a bit easier for A to join in on the prep work but since B is still so young it’s a little harder getting him in the mix of preparation. I was recently introduced to The Mickey Mouse Helping Hands Feeding & Activity Seat it’s something that our family is really enjoying.

The The Mickey Mouse Helping Hands Feeding & Activity Seat has two attachments for the tray that are suction based that he can play with while I prepare dinner. It also has two snap on attachments – one a is an rattle bottle and the other is a bowl-like attachment – that look like Mickey Mouse hands. I like that the suction cup attachments are removable so when he is ready to move onto a snack or new activity I can quickly change things.
Knowing that B is safely in his seat with a 3 point harness and adjustable tray gives me peace of mind that he is not under foot and when I turn around he will still be safe and sound. The storage pocket behind the tray makes it easy to have extra toys or items within quick reach.

Changing gears to dinnertime is incredibly easy, as well. The try is a durable plastic that can easily be wiped down and there is plenty of space for a little plate and cup. The evaluated lip around the edge of the try makes is easy for him to use it as leverage when eating and not dropping it off the side. We use the bowl-like tray attachment as an extra place for his cup and for smaller finger food.
The Mickey Mouse design is adorable and timeless. We have always loved Mickey Mouse and this chair fits that love. The back of the chair is designed to look like the Mickey Mouse ears and the hand attachments are an adorable addition to the seat.
We’ve used our chair for a wide variety of situations such as craft time, feeding time time, and activity time. I really enjoy how easily it attaches to chairs with the front and bottom straps making it very easy and versatile. Cleaning it is really easy too since the attachments are easily removed and the tray can be wiped down or tossed on the top rack of the dishwasher.
I was curious to see the age/weight limit for this seat and I couldn’t find one. I will say though that A (who will be 4 in November) really likes snagging her chance to sit in the seat with or without the tray. It helps her sit higher at the table which she really enjoys. So I can’t answer that question for you but can say it works well for both of our littles.
If you are looking for a good booster seat that is versatile and comes with some extras, I really recommend the The Mickey Mouse Helping Hands Feeding & Activity Seat by The First Years. Want to Buy it? You can conveniently buy it at Babies-R-Us.
