Making Back to School Fun with Crayola

My timelines are flooded by the sporatic back to school events. Some schools still have awhile, my homeschool friends are a couple weeks out or a easing in slowly and some have been back for a week or two. It feels like summers are getting shorter every year.

For us though, the school year doesn’t bring much change. We are still at the early years of schooling and are doing more of a preschool age. We start adding in more learning activities and are doing a little more structure in learning at home to ease into what homeschool will look like for us. 

All the school supply sales do mean new products for us though. We go through our older supplies and swap them out for new ones because you just can’t go past all of those aisles and not take home some fresh supplies. Am I right?

This year we are sharing some of the new found Crayola goodies that we are loving right now. We are integrating all of them into our projects and learning activities. You will love them.

Change Up Your Location with Window Markers
Staring at the same paper all the time can be draining. With the Crayola Window Markers you can encourage your kiddo to get up and try something new! Move to the windows to get your child working on math or writing.

These markers are easy to wipe off the windows and are great to change things up. These also work great on mirrors. Writing little notes to your little one on the mirror can be great for word recognition. If you are putting them on a bathroom mirror that gets steamy though – they will streak. 

Ultimately – we are loving the window markers. They add extra fun to learning and are excellent for creating a new outlet for where you can encourage learning.

Add an Additional Sensory Aspect with Doodle Scents

The Crayola Doodle Scents have recently become a favorite in our house. Markers are something we use a lot but I usually stay away from scented markers. I’ve had a lot of experiences with the stark, smelly markers that make head straight for the migraine medication. 

These Crayola Doodle Scents are a break from the mold of gross scented markers. I actually love these and was delighted to find they are not aggressively scented and they aren’t the regular scents. If you have experience with scented markers you know they are usually the cherry, black licorice (gross!), etc.

These markers are filled with things that actually smell awesome. Brighten Up Your White Board with Neon Dry Erase Markers and Crayons

I love using Dry Erase Boards. We use ours every day for our day board and dry erase board save paper! I introduced the Crayola Dry Erase Crayons to you last year in our BTS post but this year you can get NEON Dry Erase Crayons for your board. They easily wipe off, come with a erasing cloth and a built in sharpener in the box. Some of the lighter colors are harder to read from a distance but they are such a nice solution to Dry Erase Markers.

There is no lids to worry about and they last a bit longer because of that. They are a larger size crayon so they are great for gripping, as well. The primary colors are my favorite that I shared last year, but the neons are a great addition to their offerings. 

The Crayola Neon Dry Erase Markers are skinny which is something that I really enjoy. I absolutely love my dry erase markers that I showed you in last year’s post and those are my go to for things that need to be seen from afar but these are great, too!

There are darker colors in the neons that show up great like blue, grey and pink. The lighter colors are vibrant neons that work great for when you are close to a board but would be a strain for long viewing distances. I think these are awesome for individual dry erase boards!

Say Goodbye to Sharpening with Twistable Colored Pencils

Needing to sharpen my colored pencils growing up was such a hassle. Do you remember that? I love our twistables because they are easy and there is zero sharpening hassle. Twisting the bottom is easy for even the littlest hands. 

The twistables can be twisted up too far and break off, so I recommend showing them a good length so they know where to twist to. These colored pencils are game changers and time savers. I use them just as much as my daughter does! They are perfect for all ages.

Add Versatility to Your Projects with Super Tips and Power Lines.

School is usually filled with plenty projects that the kiddos need markers for. Both the Crayola Super Tips and the Power Lines are excellent for tackling any project.
