As we wrap up another year..

As we wrap up our current lessons and I plan for the summer I can’t help but just be grateful this is the path we chose. The learning style and the way of living. It’s proved time and time again that it’s been the best choice for our family.
When dreaming up being a parent, or even the first few years of parenting, this isn’t the view I imagined. Neither Ryan or I were homeschooled so it wasn’t our direct route of thinking. We didn’t even contemplate homeschool being an option until we fell into it naturally.
The way we brought A alongside us in everything we did teaching her along the way just was the natural way we did things. So when it was time for school, she was ahead and we liked the idea of continuing her on the path that followed her flow so she’d thrive and not be held back. It’s repeated for all of the children – the natural rhythm of learning at home.
It’s served us well time and time again. Cross country moves, new seasons of life and babies, 2020, the controversial agendas in schools – the gamut really. I’ve found myself just so grateful we went this route, even of the hard days (because trust me, we’ve got those too.)The freedom, the community, the way they thrive in learning, the possibilities of anything and everything… A lifestyle I didn’t once contemplate years ago has become a lifestyle I can’t imagine being any other way.
