Afternoon Chat.

How about a little afternoon chat. It’s been a while since we’ve had one of these and it’s been too long. There is so much to catch up on.  So why don’t you just come on over for a bit and we can chat a while?!

If you came to my home today I would greet you at my door and you would hear the quiet sound of music playing throughout my house and you’d find A on my hip. You would probably notice my new rug on the main floor and I would tell you I got it from a handmade shop out of New York called Twisted Thread and Hook and we are just loving it. It’s such a fun piece that we added to our home.  A would probably stare at your a bit, trying to take you in and figure out what she thinks of you.

I’d offer you something to drink.  I’d tell you I made some fresh ice tea if you would like any, otherwise I’d be happy to make you a cup of coffee or give you a glass of cold water. I’d ask if you would be okay going upstairs for our visit since our loft is baby proofed so our very busy little A can crawl around where she pleases and stand up with everything.

We’d talk about how lovely it’s been that the weather has been cooler here the last couple of days and I’d tell you that frankly I’m not looking forward to the heat coming back. I’d tell you that my friend Candy is in town for her yearly three week visit and that I saw her yesterday, and I’ll be seeing her Thursday for the day, and that Saturday she is taking out first family photos and I’m fretting about what to wear. I love when Candy comes to town, it’s so nice to catch up and reminiscence. I really miss her when she is back in Texas, I loved when she lived here.

Our conversation will be interrupted by baby jabbers and “Mama” coming from A. She started that two weeks ago, then started Dada two days later. I would tell you that I cannot believe that she’s eight months as of today and that it doesn’t seem possible that life is flying by that quickly. She might be a little more whiny than normal, the poor girl is teething again. Tooth number three broke through last Friday, but number four is working it’s way though still. Golly she really has been a trooper though.

I’d tell you that I take everything in stride when it comes to my schedule lately. Every day is different, sometimes days are full of snuggles for my sweet girl and little gets done around here. I’d tell you that I really keep meaning to write more in this space but that doesn’t always happen and I’m okay with it.  I always remind myself that one day I will long for these days where they were filled with constantly play time and snuggles, so I’m going to take them all in as much as I can.

I’d want to know all about you too. How are you? How’s life? The Family? The Business?
