I Married That Guy.
You ever been to Colorado?
If so, You’ve probably seen those green and white “native” stickers.
If you haven’t and you’re coming to Colorado anytime soon keep your eye out. Here is a prime example of a car with a native sticker. Personally, I think that they are ridiculously tacky. Maybe it’s because I’m not a Colorado native. But I don’t think that’s really the point.
You See… Ryan is a native. And he’s that guy. The guy that is proud to be a Native. He isn’t one of the thousands of transplanted decided to live here – nope he was born and raised here (minus our small stint where we lived in Kansas very briefly). One day we were driving down the road and I saw one of those native stickers. I proceeded to say how tacky they were and then I could not stand the ugly things and nobody really gave a darn if someone was a native or not. Well, that’s when he had a half chuckle and said “oh. I was just getting ready to say I really want one of those stickers.”
Of course. Of course that’s what he would say.
I told him that I detest the stickers and we weren’t having them on either of our cars his or mine. Instead I decided if he really wanted to sticker I would design him one that wasn’t the Colorado license plate look of the green and the white. So I designed him one, I did, however, lose the battle and it was the bold green and white with our own spin on it and he was thrilled with it so for the next couple of years he put it on his car. At the beginning of this year is time to order a new sticker and he decided that he wanted me to design a new one! You have no idea how excited I was that we could make something even better. Since the fall of last year he had been looking for a certain type of design that he liked but we couldn’t find what we wanted so we decided to put our full on spin on it make it a Colorado native sticker and that’s precisely what we did and he couldn’t be more excited about the design.
I decided that I would just embrace that I married that guy. That crowd needed a Colorado. So for his birthday I decided to do something a little fun and out of the ordinary and I decided to make him his very own native painting that had a similar look sticker.

So for Father’s Day he finally bought a 4S, he had still been using his 3GS and it was just old and not functioning. So I told him that A and I would like to get him a new phone for Father’s Day. So, we traded in his 3GS and purchase a new iPhone 4S. So what the new phone naturally, he needed a new phone case. Well, I had gotten myself a custom iPhone case for Christmas with some online credit that I had. So we talked about the ideas that he can have a new iPhone case and we decided that I could make the bumper sticker a iPhone case for his phone as the second part of his Father’s Day Gift.
So, Needless to say I have contributed to my husband being “that” guy. Afterall the key to a good marriage is embracing your spouse for all that they are. 😉
However, at least he doing it and I need the unique rockin’ style! 😉
