Firmoo, a Global Online Optimal Store contacted me recently to try out their product & service for free then relay my experience to all of you! Firmoo offers prescription /non-prescription eye-wear.
Since I don’t wear prescription glasses, I opted for a new pair of sunglasses. Firmoo offers the ability to make any pair of glasses into sunglasses. When you choose sunglasses they can tint them the color blue, brown, grey, green and purple with 20%,40%,60% or 80% degree tint.
They offer a Virtual Try-On System that helps you find the right frames. You even are able to upload your own photo to try glasses virtually.

I loved being able to see the glasses on my face before selecting them. These are the ones that I chose.
I do wish that I had the ability to see what the glasses would have looked like tinted, as I think I would have selected a different frame shape due to my preferences. However, since that’s isn’t their main product market I understand why that isn’t currently offered.
The only other problem I had with the site was simply due to my lack of knowledge of what my “PD” was. I’m assuming most users of prescription glasses know what their Pupillary Distance is, however, I had no idea. It was very easy to learn what is was after seeking help using the search bar. I’m not sure I had my PD correct since the fit isn’t the same on the screen as it is with the product in person. They could be more similar than I think they are since the product looks different as clear vs. tinted.
They have a huge selection! They have feminine, masculine, and unisex – there is something for everyone, every style and every age group. It took forever for me to finally choose a pair of glasses, I had about 5 screens open and I would switch from screen to screen. Finally I had to help from Ryan choosing!
They are extremely affordable which is awesome, whether you are looking for prescription glasses or you are looking for an accessory pair for style.

Pupillary distance actually has nothing to do with the size of the sunglasses, but where your prescription is put into the glasses. Since you don’t have a prescription, it really doesn’t matter! =)

Thanks for the comment. I didn’t think it mattered but the on PD you put in determines how much your photo is zoomed in on which I found interesting!
I agree that it would help in finding something to fit your face, which is important with online ordering. It’s hard to make sure it’s not going to be too big or too small if you can’t try it on!
