KEEPing My Blessings In Perspective
I regularly take moments to soak in how lucky I am. Lately we have been blessed with so many opportunities and things we didn’t expect that leave me in awe of how lucky I am. Business clients, blog opportunities, and regular displays of love and support from loved ones. Sometimes though, it seems like it takes those kinds of things to make me think “wow. I’m blessed.” because they are different and take me off guard a bit. Yet, when I really nestle into the reality of what is in front of me, right here and right now those things are just the icing on this cake of life. They are great things, great opportunities but the things that carry the most weight never fade in and out with the seasons, they are right here all the time. They are the God that gives me such grace every single day, even when I don’t deserve it, the husband that I get to live with day in and day out that loves me even when I’m hard to love and those two sweet, healthy, thriving babes of mine that fill my heart fuller than I ever thought was possible.
Those three things are the things that I automatically default to, things that I always know I’m blessed with but sometimes seem to go on autopilot on. How silly is it that it takes seasonal opportunities that take me by surprise to realize how blessed I am? I’m blessed every single day without any of those extra things. I am fully and completely loved as exactly who I am, I have a husband who I’m absolutely smitten with and I know would do anything for me and two babes that I get to be the mom of for all of my days. I have a roof over my head, clothing on my body and my family is always fed. The other stuff just makes life easier and I’m just really grateful for those things.
When I ordered a new bracelet from my friend, Kassie, from her new Keep Collective business I knew instantly what I wanted to highlight on my bracelet. Keep Collective thrives off the idea that every woman has a unique story to tell and they can reflect that with their jewelry, which is such an awesome idea. When we look at each other’s lives there are a lot of similarities. Maybe it’s our faith, or that we are a wife or a mother or business owner, but when we really dig a little deeper our stories are all different. Our journeys to those places were different, and our journeys within those titles and names are different. When I was picking out my order with Kassie, I knew without a second thought what I would build my bracelet around – God, Ryan and my two children. It was easy because those three things are my heartbeat. Now, choosing which keeper I wanted and which charms I wanted to represent each of those things was a different story.

For my Keeper I picked the double wrap brown and rose gold reversible. I liked that it had the double wrap look and I wanted to have two options for wearing it. I chose a cross to represent God, a knot for Ryan because infinity knots stand for something that binds one strong element to another (for us, marriage!), then I chose two arrows – one for each of my children inspired by the verse: Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. -Psalm 127 3:5. I got Ryan a bracelet last year with two arrows on it and love it, so I felt like this was a nice similar rendition.
I wear my bracelet almost every day and feel like its a nice quality and will last a long time. The initial Keeper investment is a little bit more than I probably would regularly spend but I feel like it’s nice quality product and I really love that I can add keys (the add on charms) to it any time that I want. They have a variety of words, stones, and more to add on. There really is a large variety for any one. Going through the keys and choosing which ones I wanted most was the hardest part. I love that when I’m ready I can add birth stone bars if I would like, gemstones or even more arrows if we have more children. I love that I can flip around my keeper to better match what I am wearing too.
If you are looking for a gift for someone on your list, or to add to your own Christmas list, I really recommend heading over to Kassie’s Keep Collective site and seeing what they have to offer. Kassie has been a blog friend of mine for the last several years and I’m so excited for her and her new business! This weekend Friday – Monday they are also having a 50% off sale for select keepers – bracelets & necklaces – which is a total STEAL (don’t worry I’ll remind you Friday). This is going to be the weekend to get your keeper if you’ve been eyeing one for a while. The last day to order is December 17th to get your order by Christmas!
Often, I find myself in a moment where live is crazy or hectic & frustrating, then I look down at my Keep bracelet and I am reminded that this life I’m living is exactly what I’ve wanted – chaos and all. I’m so, incredibly blessed.
What would YOU put on your Keep Bracelet to serve as a reminder of your biggest blessings or things that define you & your life?

As you know, I am totally obsessed. I LOVE your idea with the arrows and the scripture reference, it is one of my favorites.
