Dear A,
Oh Sweet Girl, here I am rocking you gently to sleep like I do every day. The gentle creak of the rocker, as you sink deeper into my arms, your hand so gently resting on the skin of my chest. It’s been 10 months since my world completely changed by you entering it. Ten months since my heart completely changed in ways I never quite imagined. What an amazing ten months its been, the kind of amazing that it feels like we just welcomed you come so recently. I truly never understood the saying that time flies, not until I had you; now it all makes sense.
Here you are, growing up more and more every day with the words you are beginning to speak and the ways you are growing so big, like your six teeth already. Your personality is forming more and more everyday and oh, sweet girl you have the sweetest personality. The sound of your giggle fills the house, and fills my heart fuller and fuller all at the same time. Your silly games you play, and your ornery streak already. Some days I wish I could freeze time, make you stay little just a little longer but every single day there is something new and exciting that steals my heart. No matter what happens in life, I hope you always choose to be you because your sweet personality shines.
I wish I could put into the words how much I love you. One day, you’ll know if you choose or are blessed enough to become a mama to your own baby. You’ll know then, but until that day always know, sweet girl, that you complete me in ways I can’t describe and have taught me a kind of love I couldn’t have imagined. No matter how old you get or where life leads, you’ll always be my baby. This love I have for you, sweet girl, will never be replaceable, will never fade and Ill always be right here with open arms being your mama.
