A Word for 2013.

I write posts in my mind over and over again before I write them usually because I don’t have the opportunity to actually write them when I have them on my mind. This post has been on my mind for weeks.

My word for 2013.

Intentional.
To do something with intention or purpose.

This word applies to my goals in all aspects of 2013.

Being a good wife.
Being a good mama.
Being a good follower of God.
Being a good sister, daughter & friend.
Being a good shop owner & business owner.
Being a good blogger.
Being a good person.

As a wife…
Always being intentional in the day to day moments and the moments that we share just the two of us because although the life we have been used to for nearly seven years, of just the two of us, has changed with our family growing keeping our moments & our marriage a cherished priority is so important. One day our little one(s) will be grown and out on their own and it will be just the two of us once again and without being intentional & keeping our marriage a priority what would we have left when its just us again 20-25 years?

As a mama…
Sweet A is only going to be little for so long, and the moments we get to share every single day will become memories. Every day she learns something new from me as she takes in this great big world. It’s important for me to set the example of who I’d like to grow up to be as a woman, someday a wife and mama, as well as, teaching her to love and appreciate who and what she has around her. How to love, how to laugh, and how to simply be.

As a follower, a believer….
Living my life according to Him, so He can be seen through me and the life that I carry on.

As a sister, daughter, and friend…
Taking the time I do get with those people and enjoying it, taking it in and making the most of all of those moments.

As a shop & business owner…
My priority will always be my family over business and the moment I had A my time for business dwindled – so I must be intentional in my time I get for the business, put it to good use. More work, less dilly dallying. 🙂

As a blogger…
I plan to be more intentional in my posts, my words because I never know who is reading this little blog of mine and what parts of my story someone else might relate to, need to read or benefit from. I know that there have been plenty of times where this space although updated with content has felt…empty. I’ve felt it, so I know as a reader you have too. It’s lacked heart, and I’m guilty of posting something, anything to keep it updated but in being more intentional here I plan to share more of my heart, our life and the things that we truly enjoy. Posting when I’m inspired to post so I feel proud of what this space is.

As a person…
With all of the things above on top of being intentional in general areas of life like interacting with those who I interact without personally knowing while I’m out an about, being intentional in kindness and in whatever other means. Always trying to be someone I’d want to meet.
