To My Sweet Girl On Your Birthday,
I don’t know how many times I’ve said it already but I don’t think there will be too many times to say it. You sweet girl, are more than I ever imagined, and the years of praying for you was worth it, so incredibly worth it.
God truly blessed us when we have us you. I spent so much time praying for you that from the very first moment I knew you were growing inside of me I felt this ridiculous joy that I can’t put into words. From your first heartbeat, to your first kick, to your first hiccups, and your first sonogram – my heart grew larger and larger. Never did I know how much more love would come the first time I heard your first cry and swooped you into my arms.
You are so full of joy, sweet girl. Since the very beginning your personality has shined, and I can’t wait to see it develop even more. You are strong willed and independent, and boy howdy are you ornery. Along side those things you are sweet. So, so, incredibly sweet, and happy. You’ve always have been that way. There is so much of your daddy I see you in, and I see so much of me too.
My love for you brings me to tears, happy, joyful tears. A couple of weeks ago you laid in my arms sleeping so soundly, perfect in every single way. Your daddy came in and I whispered “she’s just so perfect” and tears streamed down my face. You are everything we dreamed of and so, so much more.
This year has flown by so quickly and we’ve learned so much about you and you’ve learned so much from us. They always says you never know how fast time flies until you have a child, and there is few things truer. I feel like it was just weeks ago that I had you and really it was an entire year. A year full of laughter and tears, giggles and new tricks. Although it feels like just yesterday, it also feels like there wasn’t life before you.
Always remember, Sweet Girl, that no matter where this big world takes you this mama of yours, will always be there with a heart full of love and arms to snuggle you. Always.
Love,
Mama
