Our Trip to the Zoo

To celebrate A’s birthday we decided it would be fun to take her to the zoo for the very first time. The 15th was Free Day at the Denver Zoo so we decided it would be a great time to go, and our friends were in town too – so we planned this for weeks.. The weather was beautiful and we decided it would be good for all of us to take advantage of the opportunity.

Ryan took the day off and we headed to the zoo. Parking was insane since everyone decided the beautiful 60* was an awesome time to go to the zoo, but the long walk from Central Park wasn’t bad as we had good company and both girls were content with their snacks.

We had such a fun time. Some of the animals were hard for the girls to see, especially A since they would be laying in their surroundings and blending in but overall, it was a blast. We just so happened to stop in time for the elephant show which was fun, we learned about elephants and saw some pretty neat tricks.

The giraffes were fun for A since we have Sophie the Giraffe. Ha. Not to mention they were easy to see.
We spent a good 5+ hours at the zoo, seeing animals and enjoying friends and good conversation. The lemurs were A’s favorites, just like her mama. Smart girl. 😉
