Full Hearts & Messy Hands
Oh October, how did you arrive so soon? I’m not complaining, as I know you bring the best weather and most beautiful colors I’m just not sure where this year is going. I feel like each time I blink I am in a time hop. October is when the busy really begins for our family once Halloween starts, then we are catapulted into the m time of the year filled with hustle, bustle and celebrations for us – holidays, birthdays, anniversaries. It’s really the best time of the year. I am way behind, so I’m going to share some recent family photos…well, they are a couple months ago “new”.

I feel like this is a good time for a quick reintroduction around here. So, if you have just found my little space through the challenge – welcome! I’m Kristina. Wife to Ryan for almost 6 years (this December!) and we’ve been together for nearly a decade. Together we have two sweet little blessings, “A” who is our daughter who turns three this December, and “B” our sweet boy we just welcomed this last June. You are likely wondering if we planned that whole “A” and “B” thing and the answer is we had B’s name picked out nearly nine years ago, so nope! Just how it worked out. We reside on the plains of Colorado currently until we relocate with Ryan’s job with Subaru of America Corporate within the next year. Where we go from there is all in God’s hands and the opportunities that we are presented with. There’s bitter-sweetness in the upcoming changes, it’s all about trusting Him and knowing that we won’t land somewhere we shouldn’t be. I’m very positive and look at the brightside of things and believe with my whole heart that God is in control and there’s a reason for all things.. Instead of just shouting that I love Jesus, you’ll find that I’m a quiet evangelist that prefers to live a life of His love and let Him shine through my heart. When I’m not blogging, or running my freelance business helping small businesses run their businesses smoothly you’ll find me having dance parties with my daughter, homebrewing with my hubby, whipping something delicious food in my kitchen or creating fun projects with my children by my side – one making a mess alongside me and one in my ring sling. You can find me on twitter and instagram daily sharing thoughts and snapshots of life.
So what can you expect from a blog with the tagline “Living Life with Full Hearts & Messy Hands?”
You can expect things weighing on my heart based on life, faith, motherhood and marriage, as well as, some of my favorite recipes and kids projects. So, if you have been around here a long time you can just expect more of the stuff that you already love. Some days I might have a long lengthy post and other days it might be a quick post with a snapshot of life that day and something that’s been weighing on my heart. I really just want to get back into this space, every single day and just be present and show up. I’m going to be be focusing more on the words than on having the perfect pinnable images. It’s really on my heart to get back to the place where I share a lot of my heart, the good, the hard and all the things in between. As always, it’s my goal to simply use this place for where I am at right now and what is working for me, in hopes that if you find yourself in this space my words will help you, encourage you and meet you where you are. For my kids activities and recipes, I just want to create a space that takes the fear out of including your sweet babes with you in projects so that it’s more fun and less intimidating. I want this space to be somewhere you can come to find inspiration and create without fear, with what you have. Some ideas are super basic but are just meant to inspire and others more complicated. Overall, no matter if you are looking for words that meet you where you are or inspire you, or a recipe or craft – I hope that Joyfully Smitten is a place that meets you with a sweet hello sign and a warm cup of coffee, meeting you like an old friend ready to hold you hand and say “I’m in the thick of it right with you.”
If you are new around here (or just want to say hello!) I would love for you to connect with me either on social media or leave a comment below with a little intro about you, how you found Joyfully Smitten and a way I can connect with you!! I can’t wait to get to know you!
