DIY Holiday Wrapping Paper + A Crayola Giveaway

Finding a fun activity to get creative with the whole family can sometimes be a struggle, even for us.  We love getting both of our kids involved in creative activities. Finding ones that make it easy to do with both kids at the same time is sometimes a little tough though.

This last weekend we took a little break from the moving chaos we are in the midst of. We got out our large roll of white paper, our crayons, markers and our new . We came up with an out of the box idea to do with the kids for an hour:

Both of our kids had a great time using the markers and crayons to create their masterpiece. It was different, low-structure and just let them get creative! A was super thrilled with the fact she got to use the Crayola Air Marker Sprayer all by herself. It’s an 8+ toy from Crayola but she did just great. 

The Crayola Air Marker Sprayer is easy to use with the Pipsqueaks and stencils that the kit provides. Our only struggle here is that she loves to get it super close to the paper but she’s getting the swing of it and we were never too far to be able to help out. 

Being able to layer the colors and move the sprayer closer or further based on the coverage we were trying to achieve. A knows all of her colors – primary and secondary – so she loves layer to create new colors! The sprayer makes that super easy.

We paired it with some basic curling ribbon and it turned out so cute and fun. Sure, it’s just wrapping paper that will be tossed but it was a great use of time! I know those getting presents with the paper will love the special touch from our family! A loved seeing her creative pictures she made with our family on the presents when we wrapped them!
