Pssh it’s on the 4th
The last week has been nothing short of chaos. Last Monday I was diligently working on the A-List Holiday Guide when I got the blue screen of death. Throughout the week Ryan was trying to figure out the problem and how to fix it every night after A went to sleep. Finally Wednesday we discovered it was the Hard Drive. Thursday night we got extremely lucky and got to yank all of the data off of the old hard drive and transport it onto the new hard drive. Relieve came with this. The last 5 months of data recovered, I had been fearing the worst all week since it was my main computer – the one I design on and have most all of our photos on. If it was gone I would have had to redesign a dozen logos among lots of other things, as well as, possibly losing photos and videos of A. I woke Friday with relief. It was a brand new month and it was starting out amazingly, I had my files – we still had to rebuild a computer so I’d have one to work off other than the laptop but things were looking up. I had the gift guide to finish and had nothing short of problems on the laptop but slowly things were getting done. I spent my Friday evening on the guide, and 85% of my Saturday on the guide doing it and redoing it all over again due to errors, only to end my day with the fact I hadn’t click save on one of the last pages before my computer crashed the Monday before and part of the members were missing.
Yesterday I didn’t bother with it. I couldn’t spend any more time on the computer away from Ryan and A. The guide could wait. We ran our errands and spent the day enjoying our time as a family, it was fabulous. It felt good to step away. This morning I finished up making corrections to the guide, reuploaded it and linked it all one last time. It’s complete, without flaws and it feels good. The guide is the biggest A-List event of the year and one I enjoy very much. It looks good, it’s complete and it feels so. so. good.
