A Little TLC
Recently, I got a little happy mail from my friends at Influenster. The #tlcvoxbox. A voxbox for moms that was filled with 5 products. A bar of Ivory, a fuel points card, Avon wrinkle cream, Neosporin To-Go, a travel pack of Puffs Plus lotion tissues, and my personal favorite the free Breyers Gelato.
Now, when I first opened it up I laughed a little at the contents because I thought it was a TLC box for moms instead of TLC items for moms to use. Surprise. A moms job is never done, so the box makes sense. The products are all useful.
The Avon ANew Wrinkle0 concealer wasn’t something I felt like I need at this time, and I’m not sure I’m one to be panicked about them anyways. After all, I’m embracing my grays so what’s a few wrinkles, right?
Next, let’s talk about the Shell Rewards fuel points/rewards card. Although it could be a great solution for someone, especially if they don’t have a Kroger card, it’s not something I’m jumping up and down about. The first fill up of 8 gallons or more you get $.03, and the second you get $.25 off. If you hook your MasterCard up to the card you get $.25 off immediately, however, we have a Visa we use for gas (yay for rewards points) so that wasn’t a “WOW” factor for us. Since we shop at King Soopers, we got there for gas to save on gas with our occurred points. Not to mention, Shell accepts King Soopers cards too so that kind of shadows the Fuel Rewards card in that fashion. For online shoppers though, this card could really save you some money. You can shop through the rewards system and save money on gas through the online system. That said, we don’t do a lot of online shopping but I’ll be pulling my rewards card when I do online shopping next.
The Puffs Plus with Lotion tissues and the Neosporin to-go both fit into my handy pouch so I can take it them on the go all the time. The Neosporin to go is unbelievably convenient since you can just spray and go, no goopiness. Yay for that! Not to mention it has a mild anesthetic helping ease the sting. The Puffs Plus with Lotion tissues are fantastic for allergy season. Ryan’s allergies are rough this time of year so the tissues have been super convenient to have stashed away in my bag. As for the Ivory, we love using Ivory in our house. Ryan has sensitive skin and Ivory won’t break him out, which is fantastic news. Since we use Ivory already, an extra bar was certainly welcome!
The Breyers Gelato was a great sweet treat and perfect for a little date night snack. The retail is a steep $5.99 but golly it’s creamy and yummy. We indulged in the Vanilla Caramel and was pleased. A perfect little TLC treat for us to enjoy!
