Weekend Recap

We had such a lovely weekend. Ryan was at a meeting most of last week but he came home early Friday which was such a nice surprise! The weather was lovely and we spent it outside playing and flying the kite. Saturday we went out to lunch at a great little pizza place called PizzaRev. They use all organic and farm fresh ingredients and you get to make your own pizza with unlimited toppings. It was so delicious. If you are a Colorado local and near Lafayette, I highly recommend checking it out.

We spent the next few hours at the WOW! Children’s Museum again and we had a nice time! Their Weather exhibit they had last time was over but this time they had a dinosaur bones exhibit. You could uncover dinosaur bones in the rubber rock pit, compare you hands to dinosaur tracks, make your own Dino prints and put together dinosaur puzzles.

We did the usual things to like play doctor in the Little Clinic exhibit, play in the wind room, paint and make crafts, enjoy the music room, etc. Its a pretty small children’s museum but it’s affordable and the kids have a lot of fun! It is always nice to see the different things the kids gravitate towards each time we go!

We like to spend Saturdays out and Sundays in! So Sunday we had a slow day spending time together and getting some quality time in. Sunday afternoon, we also started getting the camper ready for this week’s camping trip! We are headed to the mountains for 5-days away and we are so excited for our adventure! It’s much needed and all of us are looking forward to it.

How was your weekend? What did you do?

Saturday morning we went to Petsmart because they were going a fun ‘Finding Dory’ event that I found out about via their email. • Sweet Summertime

The fact that summer is half over already feels a little crazy to me. I'm not sure where the time goes these days but I will say it's felt like Summertime! The days are humid in Pennsylvania, much like my own childhood, but the shady evenings are nice when the humidity is low. Our summer…

  • Wide Open

There is just something about the wide open windows, the color of the leaves changing over slowly and cooler weather that is restorative, and life giving to me. Today especially.  Things have been a little more stressful around our home lately. The process of getting our house painted has been less than wonderful and it’s…
