It’s no secret that we LOVE the Bible Belles Books. We have shared them several times when they released Hannah, Esther, and Abigail. (You can read past posts here and here). In the Abigail post, I mentioned Ruth: The Belle of Loyalty would be coming very soon. It was expected to launch in time for Easter, but the Bible Belles team made certain everything down to the printing was absolutely perfect and with a tiny delay….

Bible Belles is one of absolutely favorite series sharing the women heroes of the Bible! Hannah, Esther, Abigail, Ruth (and next, Deborah!). Fairytales and Princess stories are nice and all but I adore the idea of my daughters having example of Bible women who are heroes with relate-able stories.
Before Bible Belles, I’ll be honest, the only women in the Bible my mind defaulted to were Mary and Martha. I knew there were others but the big stories that are so well known are centered around men in the Bible. Those stories are invaluable too, and I adore them, but Bible Belles is bringing sometime to the table that has untouched until now.
The Bible Belles stories takes your children on an adventure with Rooney Cruz and her angel, Mari. During these adventures they experience Rooney going through relatable current-day issues that our kids might encounter and how to handle them. Rooney goes on a journey into the Bible story that features each woman, see’s what they went through, how they handled it and what quality that person possesses. In Ruth they learn the power of being a loyal friend, even when it might feel easier to walk away.
Through the stories they learn the power of prayer, patience, bravery, loyalty & leadership. These are all skills that we want our children to learn about and know the power of. We want to know these qualities and how to apply them to their daily life. These qualities are the qualities of real, every day heroes.
