The Crayola Experience + Huge Discount for You
We have been members of the Crayola Experience in both Pennsylvania and here in Texas. The Crayola Experiences allow us to have a fun afternoon out full of creativity and fun without the mess at home. Being annual passholders it makes it super easy for us to zip in for a couple of hours and head home. However, I feel like even a one day pass offers a variety of fun for kids of all ages.

Between the two locations we have been to Crayola Experiences at least a dozen times. We typically visit once a month now that we are in Texas. (You can view our other visits to Crayola on Instagram here (full TX instagram highlight), here (Plano, TX), and here (Easton, PA)) That said, I feel like I have a pretty good grasp on what the experience offers and the benefits involved.
With every new ticket, or entry on your annual pass, everyone is given a bag for their artwork with two tokens that can be used for modeling clay or a customized crayon (each activity takes 1 token each), as well as, an attraction coupon to get a Scribble Scrubbie pet at the newest attraction. In addition, every month Crayola offers a new set of themed activities. These themed attractions are carried out through the molding station and the paint pallet station.

Before I go any further I really want to talk to you about the Scribble Scrubbie attraction. This is the newest attraction and it’s a lot of fun. In fact, the kids request to go there specifically for this new attraction. I don’t know what it is but there’s something about small animal creatures that can be designed over and over again that makes my kids super excited.
At first, I thought the pet would just change monthly but I learned that they are constantly rotating them out. So far, there have been several dogs, cats, a hamster, and a rabbit. The kids love going and seeing what the new pet is and collecting them all. They can use markers or watercolors to design their pets then wash, dry, and design them again and again.

My kids will tell you that the drip art, the molding station (where are you can turn a crayon into a car or a ring), melt and mold station, the 3-D art station, Meltdown, and the adventure lab all never get old. There is consistently something new and fun for the kids. They also have their favorite attractions that they like to go to time and time again.
The kaleidoscope, Stomp and Play, Silly Faces, and Cool Moves attractions all offer fun that keep your kiddo up and moving to create with their bodies instead of their hands. These are excellent mess free attractions that keep your kids giggling and having fun.

The Adventure Lab has a variety of challenges that exercise problem solving skills combined with color mixing and Crayola. Previously the exhibit utilized iPads to accomplish the challenges but in recent months the exhibit changed to touch screens which made the exhibit even better. The kids love taking on the brain bending challenges and I’ll admit, I love helping them with them.

In addition to the facility being very well adapted to all ages already, there is also our littlest’s favorite – the Toddler Town. Toddler Town includes a play area, light peg activity, and a full chalk town area where they can draw on statues and the walls that look like a town. We can’t get out of the Crayola Experience without see having at least 15 minutes playing in this area. It’s usually his favorite part of the experience.
If you are hungry, you can hit up the snack shack or cafeteria if you need a quick bite to eat. They also offer a fun Crayola show that gives a fun look at how crayons are made. The kids have enjoyed going to the show the few times we have been. We don’t go every time but I recommend checking it out at least once. It’s well done and makes the kids feel involved, complete with their own crayon.

When you exit the Crayola Experience you’ll end up in the Crayola store. Here you’ll find creative supplies, a wall full of crayons and markers, and shirts. If you happen to purchase an annual membership after your visit, you’ll also receive 20% off in the store anytime you go.
